Memorie dall’Impero – What Remains of Colonialism in Friuli Venezia Giulia is a podcast created by Luca Giuliani and Flavio Massarutto and produced by Etrarte. It explores the legacy of Italy’s colonial past through local stories and historical analysis, offering a lens through which to reflect on the present. The series also acts as a cultural driver for experiential tourism tied to the places and events it recounts. Creaa supported the creative team by overseeing the project’s visual and strategic direction.

Our work focused on developing the visual identity and graphic design for the podcast, ensuring consistency with its core themes. The coordinated visuals were designed to evoke ideas of movement, exploration and memory, resulting in a strong and evocative visual language.

In parallel, Creaa designed a targeted distribution strategy, leveraging major audio and social platforms to grow the audience and maximise reach.

We also managed the operational aspects of the project — including supplier coordination and technical support — to ensure a smooth and high-quality production process. The result is a podcast that not only informs and provokes thought, but also benefits from a strong visual identity and a strategic communications plan that helps it connect with a wide and diverse audience.
